measuring the snow in feet with a winter warning and travel advisories across the 4 corners and southwestern colorado. this wip happen after midnight and continue 24 hours. this current pattern benefiting the southern mountains and southern california, a drought-rav aged state that will be dealing-- ravage said state dealing with rain now into the weekend, 6 inches of rain possible in the city by this week. with all the snow in the high country, many reservoirs will be feeling quickly. good news but almost too much of a good thing at once. we have one system across to the east and another on the way tonight, another coming in thursday. couple that with the arctic front coming in from the north and we will see big changes in the weather after one more mild, dry day. here, cold air really doesn't arrive until thursday here but we stay in tact along the front range through the weekend. dealing with fog, low clouds far eastern plains but the big story is the mountains, snow increasing across the san juan, central mountains during the day and impafbl travel i-70 in the afternoon. i-25 corridor no issues.

we do have a winter weather advisory over southwestern colorado the goes until midnight and then they cancel this and then push it off to the east. that is a winter storm watch until 6:00 p.m. around trinidad, up to 8 inches of snow possible. 5 inches around the greater metro, less than five in denver, that is tomorrow cots night, and into friday. and we held our record high of 66 in 10 years later we got to 21 degrees below zero. 65% humidity and a study barometer. temperatures are mostly in the teens and 20s over the eastern plains, single digits and teens for the high country. tomorrow the cold air starts to settle in and 30s and 40s instead of 40s and 50s, 20s and 30s for the high country, mostly 30s out west. tonight, increasing clouds tonight, increasing clouds and then snow developing, 26 26 degrees and 23 degrees for the overnight lows and tomorrow, light snow off and speaking of which, not out of the 20s on friday with a chance for snow, up to three more inches. more sunshine, 24 degrees on sunday, monday sunday, monday 33 degrees got sunny skies, and then have to work. >> we

they will head toward colorado and bring more snow to the high country and possibly even denver. looking at the winter weather advisory for the southwestern area, 2 to 6 inches possible, sticking around through 10:00 a.m. we'll see a lull in the snowfall this morning but we'll have some on the western slope and some in the high country throughout the afternoon and evening. more clouds will roll in but we looking at more snow developing overnight tonight in the southwestern mountains. we could see some of this shift over to the front range on wednesday night into thursday. as we look at the snowfall forecast models, this does show the southwestern mountains look to get the most out of this. denver may pick up a couple inches, still watching the models on this one. temperatures for today, 46 in denver, 38 in greeley, 50 in burlington and a lot of 30s in the high country and western slope. tomorrow 44, partly sunny skies. we have changes on thursday, temperatures plummeting and a lot of cold air coming in from canada. we could see snow sticking around through saturday. joel? closed over i-25, creating kind of a mess. police are directing all
