and western colorado and southwestern colorado you are full of cloud cover and wet. here in northern co because of the wind sitting up on the border with the dry air. there's a front and cooler and drier air behind it. the front mostly impacts areas along and east of the continental divide. and up in the atmosphere, we have a low pressure spinning over nevada bringing plenty of moisture to the state. that's why we do have a lot of cloud cover but as it moves to denver it's going to fight the flash flood watch through 10:00 tonight. and on the current radar a few showers west of i-25, south of i-70. and as we widen out the view, the coverage is much more widespread in the san juan mountains. and i really think that's where most of the precipitation stays for the next 24 hours. the southwestern quadrant of the state. tomorrow as the upper level low starts to move to the east. we'll try and spin moisture back to the fingers crossed we can get that done. but the dry air is going to be a tough battle. we'll see how it all unfolds. 80s and 90s on the eastern plains. cool u

that is where the flash flood watches are out, mainly for western and southwestern colorado although it does include parts of colorado springs in a make your way towards the trinidad area. life radar issuing some of the stronger storms here in eastern even some thunderstorms with a couple of health producing storms down there. for most of us, not seeing the lightning here across the front range, that's what the bigger storms. what we are seeing is finally a move of the rain coming off a higher terrain and fighting in our direction. all day long this stuff has been evacuating. but now we're starting to see brain fort collins, loveland, longmont making it into boulder and we're just starting to see it move in on the west side of down. obviously we would keep an eye on this because future caches waves of rain continuing overnight tonight and even as a content of heavy rain possible coming up in your saturday. obviously the gray skies have kept the temperatures on the cool side with readings in the 60s and '70s like done in castle rock where they're at 69 degrees. that's where matt micken
