and because they have the ability to have a second vehicle, which is the spacex dragon, why take anyat all? let's just wait till february, when the next dragon goes up and bring the crew back on on that vehicle? >> yeah, really? everyone at nasa is saying this just shows the commitment to safety here with this decision. so how much of a setback is this for boeing? >> yeah, i can't sugarcoat it. it is definitely a setback. however, i will say that boeing has an opportunity to redeem itself if this vehicle, the starliner, comes back uncrewed and has a pretty flawless reentry. boeing can say, look, we understand why nasa decided to bring the crew home on the dragon, but our spacecraft is okay. if they would have come down on starliner, they would have been okay. so there is a chance for redemption. on the other hand, if a lot of more things go wrong on that uncrewed mission down, then nasa and boeing can both say, look, we made the right decision. we put safety first and it's a good thing we did. so i think there is still a win win scenario to be had potentially at the end of this whole
