the maryland spca is concerned it may be harder now to find adoptive homes.ies may abandon pit bulls after the recent ruling of the state court of appeals that pit bulls are inherently dangerous. >> we believe that an animal's behavior should be the determining factor in whether or not that animal is considered dangerous. we don't believe that a particular breed should be pinpointed for that. >> reporter: the maryland court of appeals' decision dealt with the case of a young boy who sustained life threatening injuries when he was attacked by a pit bull. the maryland court of appeals' ruling says that when a pit bull attacks a human being, it is no longer necessary to prove that that pit bull was dangerous. the owner, or the landlord who rents to the owner of that dog, could be held strictly liable. some of the dog owners here at the park told me police were called in when a pit bull recently attacked other dogs exercising here. the owner left before the police arrived. laura miller is a dog walker. >> i've never encountered a dangerous pit bull. i don't think
