anyway, i am chair of the community advisory committee for special education. i would just like to thank the transportation department and honor your leadership. there has been a lot of input from parents that have gone into working with the transportation group. we have done so many transportations and we are talking about getting our most complex children around the city in ways that launch them into the school day effectively, and it is no easy task. thank you for all your work, i know there's a lot of collaboration this year between special education and transportation, cost reduction and improvement, so thank you for that. one thing that i would love to cs consider is by the time our kids get to high school, there can be a stigma around riding the big yellow bus, so i am wondering if there is a potential to consider some more even cost-effective actions other then the yellow buses, maybe maybe smaller, more efficient cars, something more nondescript that might help our students arrive without the stigma showing up on the yellow bus. lots of things to consi

this week on breakfast, we've been hearing from the parents of children with special educational needs kids. my daughter is a vulnerable child and i fear for their future. i have never done anything like this before but i feel it is time to speak up. it is getting worse year by year and our children are suffering. at the minute, we are campaigners, warriors and paediatric nurses. we get very little sleep. when are you going to purely let us be parents? when are you actually going to invest? in court, that lack of investment was described by family barristers as a genuine crisis, which could blight children's lives forever. they said the chancellor's budget was illegal when it came to send provision. the government's own barristers accepted demand for services had outstripped funding. but added the government had made it clear high needs would be a priority ahead of the 2019 spending review. now their wait begins with a judgment reserved for a later date. joining us now is mary, whose daughter dakota was involved in the case, and dan, who's daughter emily has spina bifida and autism. go
