but last year, after feeling sick, spencer began a tough journey. doctors first thought he had pneumonia. (justin lockard, spencer's father) we got sent off for a chest x-ray and then sent over to roanoke memorial and then by the end of 13 hours we were at duke and they were saying you need a new heart. (leslie ann lockard, spencer's mother) they diagnosed him with dilated cardiomyopathy which is an enlarged heart, in particular the left side of his heart was enlarged and not functioning well but neither side was doing well at that point. spencer stayed positive throughout, but his parents struggled with what was happening. the first time they sedated him to intibate him at roanoke memorial was really hard. we had to leave for them to do all of that and i didn't know if i'd ever see him awake again. especially because most children with death. it's amazing that he's alive and that he was able to make it to getting a heart. doctors were able to give him pumps and a berlin heart to keep him going. he had that until fathers day, which is when he got hi

"we also have something that we'd like to offer our students that we can't currently offer now because our facilities are limited. so it's pretty important for us to stay competitive with all the other community colleges and still offer the best experience for our students," said iowa lakes community college english instructor, abi sedlacek. the hundred and one thousand square foot roof on the spencer campus needs to be completely rereaced. and students agree. . >> first, let's bring in spencer christian to pinpoint what areas are still, spencer, at risk of flooding tonight. >> we'll start with a wide view of live doppler 7 hd showing areas that are not receiving rainfall, but some are receiving steady rain, including northward to concord, and berkeley to vallejo, and eastward. and that is a pretty straight pattern of rain here and down in the south bay, throughout the higher terrain into the mount hamilton areas, there are pockets of heavy down pours. we have more waves of rain expected to move on shore. our storm impact scale is a series of highs helping us prepare for the weather, we assign a ranking from one, indicating a light storm, up to five, indicating a severe storm. the ranking for tomorrow is one, because many of the residual effects would keep the risk of flooding in the picture here, we have a high surf warning until 2:00 in the afternoon with rising surf, and tides and rainfall, showers and swell of a coastal flood advisory from 4:00 in the morning until 10:00 tomorrow morning there could be flooding and we'll keep you posted on ho
