abc seven spencer christian is here now with a look at the accuweather forecast. i think just the way we like it. spencer, i agree christine, i like this cool start. >> i'm tired of the very, very warm weather. here's a look at what's going on on the satellite radar composite image. you see that big warm weather, high pressure system? well, to our east right now. and that means the doors open for brisk onshore breezes, cooling breezes, bringing us the marine layer back, which is advancing and retreating and advancing and retreating and right now it's in retreat mode, but it's going to advance again during the late night and overnight hours. you can see how breezy it is around the bay area right now. we have wind speeds at the surface between 20 and 25mph in numerous locations, as that onshore cooling flow continues. it's also contributing to very good air quality over most of the bay area. there are a few yellow circles around indicating moderate air quality, but for the most part we have good air quality right now, and the 24 hour temperature change shows most lo

join right now by spencer christian.ds of people here in the city at this music festival yesterday it was a little foggy. weather is a little different today. well it is different. >> you know, we had some fog earlier. it lifted and we thought the marine layer was forming, but it has lifted. so it's clearing out near the coastline right now for a while. the fog will be back. you're getting cold later. here's a look at what's happening. you can see on the satellite radar composite image that the low clouds just sort of lifted in the early evening hours. well, late afternoon, i should say. it's not evening yet, but it will return. the marine layer will not abandon us. we've got a nice brisk onshore flow right now with wind speeds generally about 14 to 16mph, and it's a few degrees warmer in most locations away from the coast than at this time yesterday, but a little bit cooler in places like san francisco and pacifica. so right now, 61 degrees here in the city, upper 60s at oakland and hayward, 81 at san jose, 79 in redwoo

abc7 weather anchor spencer christian is here with when some places are going to get what, a one day spike in the heat. yeah, it could be a two day spike, but a one day spike for sure. >> kristen, let's take a look at live doppler seven and the radar. you can see that we had fog clinging to the coastline for much of the day. so it was a little gray and overcast for much of the day and cooler than you would expect. the day before a heat spike to be. right now we're looking at temperatures in our inland areas in the mid to upper 80s for the most part, but the heat is going to build quickly tomorrow. in fact, a heat advisory will be in effect for the santa clara valley tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. the risk of heat related illness, of course, will increase with this hot weather tomorrow. so here's what we're expecting. these are our forecast headlines. heat spike tomorrow. triple digit highs inland. the heat will ease just a little bit on on wednesday. still though warm to hot. and later in the week we'll see a bit of cooling relief coming our way. but for tomorrow look for high temp

spencer. yeah, mainly downs right now. >> kristen. >> downs and ups. >> yeah i have been outside and it is perceptibly cooler. here's a look at the satellite radar composite image. you see that low pressure system dropping down out of the gulf of alaska. that's bringing all the big changes is ushering in some clouds, some moisture and some pretty gusty winds. right now, look at the wind speeds, the gusts up to 35mph at oakland, 31 at novato. and in the mid 20s, just about everywhere else. that's part of the pattern will be in for the next couple of days. and as you can see in the 24 hour temperature change, most locations are several degrees cooler right now than at this time yesterday. it's currently 66 here in san francisco, 72 in oakland, and inland areas that had broken the 90 degree mark earlier in the week are now only in the 70s for the most part. so let's move ahead. take a look at our forecast headlines tomorrow. breezy, cool and showery as the influence of that low continues saturday
