. >> spencer christian is tracking wildfire conditions. pencer as we head into july 4th it is not ideal. >> there is a reason for concern but i am pleased to report at least weatherwise over the next several days we will see no changes that will increase the fire risk. as a matter of fact we're going into a period of decreased risk as you look at the alignment of systems. it is the low pressure system dropping into the pacific northwest that is replacing the very hot air mass that brought record heat. what we can expect on this alignment is a record heat retreat. onshore breeze is will bring a cooling effect and there will be no extreme weather over the next several days. this is the view at the golden gate is the marine layer gets deeper and deeper. it moves out over the bay by an onshore flow -- according onshore flow. overnight we'll see it continuing to push out over the bay. we expect commuters to be greeted by maybe a few wet spots on the roadways. not a good thing but evidence of the cooling effect of the marine layer. here is a quic
