let's get to abc seven news weather anchor spencer christian tracking our next round of rain and tonight'srigid temperatures. spencer. >> yeah. dion. big changes coming our way midweek, but let's start with the cold air. tonight we have a frost advisory and a freeze warning in effect for the bay area from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. tomorrow. this covers virtually all of the bay area. that area in blue. the lighter blue closer to the coast represents a frost advisory. so areas in that i mean locations in that alert may see low temperatures go down to about 32 degrees tonight. now, under the dark blue or the purple, that's where the freeze warning is in effect. that's the north bay interior valleys, the east bay valleys, and the eastern santa clara hills. low temperatures may drop as low as 26 degrees in those areas. so it's going to be cold everywhere tonight. so these are our forecast headlines overnight. and tomorrow morning. frost and freeze alerts in effect again next two days we'll see clouds increase. rain arrives late tuesday. but the bigger event rain wise comes on wednesday wednesday through

spencer christian tracking this approaching rain and more. >> yeah, he's in the storm center. spencer. when do you expect that? we'll start seeing rain here. >> probably, larry. within the next 2 to 3 hours, we'll see some rain near the coastline. you can see on the satellite radar composite image how close the storm is right now. and this is a strong level three storm on the exclusive abc seven storm impact scale. so it features heavy rainfall. as you mentioned, the possibility of flooding, damaging winds and dangerous surf. let me get right down to the forecast animation starting at about 5 p.m, we'll probably see the first rainfall arriving up in the north bay. then it will just slam through the remainder of the bay area during the nighttime and overnight hours, continuing continuing through the morning commute, then a little bit of a break during the late to mid morning hours. but then in comes another surge and that will keep moving through during the afternoon and evening hours. so both the morning commute and the afternoon and evening commute will be problematic with flo

we check back in now with spencer christian. >> it's going to be wet, but before that happens, we have tomorrow here in the bay area, as we have a frost advisory that will be in effect from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. for the north bay interior mountains and valleys, the east bay interior valleys, the santa clara valley and the eastern santa clara hills. low temperatures in those areas may drop to about 31 degrees, and we have a freeze warning that will be in effect from 10:00 tonight to 7 a.m. tomorrow for solano county and the carquinez strait and the delta lows down to about 30 or even below. then the rain starts to move into the bay area late tomorrow night. as you look at the forecast, animation continues into wednesday. a very brief break, followed by another storm, a stronger one that starts to push in late wednesday night into thursday. it will be mainly a thursday event with heavy downpours, strong gusty winds and snow in the sierra. so we've got some stormy days coming our way. as you can see here on the accuweather seven day forecast, but we're hoping for a break. it looks like we may
