we find out that gene sperling who is on president obama's economic council urged a larger firm, carlisle group, do rescue a failing company. this is exactly what bain capital did. >>neil: but without taxpayer dollars? >>guest: we hear private equity is bad but it is becoming more clear that president obama has made it, private equity in gin, a convenience. he uses it when it is con veteran conference and slams it when it is inconvenient. >>neil: to be fair the president and those who agree argue that private equity is wrong when it breaks and pillages jobs in the process and it doesn't have any net good for taxpayers. if this case, you could argue, and there is a go argument to be made, this was private capital going had to shore up a taxpayer position that would help and not hurt washington. that is the argument. do you agree? >>guest: i don't. it goes back to the same basic argument of, bain capital came in to the companies, rescued the ones they corks shut down the plants they could not rescue and they provided more jobs in the end as a result. this is the same thing with carlisle gro
