a remarkable new report in "the washington post" says that since president trump won the election last year, the trump organization has enjoyed quite a spike in business from republican lawmakers holding fund-raisers and receptions at trump properties. in fact, according to federal election commission filings cited by the paper, between election day 2016 and the end of september of this year, federal political committees reported paying at least $1.27 million to trump businesses. and not one dollar of that money comes from any democrats, surprise, surprise.
