splunk down 23%. workday down 15% this morning. sales force down 11%.hat is going on in enterprise software among this cloud cohort largely, cloud social, call it what you will, but was supposed to be a big growth hope. do you think investors are losing confidence, sdoes it reflect something you see happening on the ground there? >> i think it's a worry about growth. i think they did very well. linkedin is the best behaved internet companies out there. underpromise, overdeliver. this was a good quarter for them. i think just going forward the numbers are substantively lower by hundreds of millions of dollars than what they had promised. and so i think while it spooks wall street, you cannot do that right now. people are very worried about growth. and this is one of the leading enterprise companies. and so they're worried about if they saturated, if the growth is there, if it will continue this high growth -- i think growth is really what it is. and then i think it was confusing some of their messages about hunters and farmeder sfar. usually linkedin is

splunk down big, qlik down big.er big momentum names, not linked ed ted to data analysise done, sales force has been week, tesla down 10%, even amazon down 10% on the week. a lot of concern right now that some of these tech companies may have lower growth rates than the consensus were. and that the multiples were starting to compress on some of them. that is the indication right now let's move on to the oil companies. you want to know how desperate oil companies are? hess did a secondary offering with the share price a third lower than a year ago. that's a desperate move for an oil company. 25 million shares, secondary offering, priced it at $39, but that was at 10% discount to where it was yesterday. that's why the stock is down 10% here. they also had a 10 million share depository share offering. they are increasing common shares by about 10% at a time when shares are down by a third compared to a year ago. it's simple, they can't raise debt right now. it's very difficult to do that equity raise is the only option
