from me and the rest of the team at the bbc sport centre, goodbye. hello.nd and northern ireland, have already seen the wettestjuly on record. and you probably won't be too surprised to hear that we have got more rain in the forecast at times through the remainder of this week. now, tuesday brings a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers. we won't all be seeing the rain during the day on tuesday, but let's look at the rest of the week. this is the jet stream. these winds you can see here continuing to drive areas of low pressure in towards our shores with showers or longer spells of rain moving their way through from the atlantic and pushing gradually eastwards. now, tuesday morning, a few spells of showery rain across parts of central scotland. also the odd shower for wales, south west england, east anglia too. heading through the day, this area of cloud and rain nudges further south and then we start to see showers bubbling up for eastern scotland and eastern england, which could be really quite heavy, potentially thundery, with some hail mixed in too.

from me and the rest of the team at the bbc sport centre, goodbye. hello there.ross the uk has been very limited this july, hasn't it? and actually we had once again some contrasting weather conditions across the country. in fact, in scarborough in north yorkshire, we had just over a0 millimetres of rain, most of that falling in the afternoon. but by contrast, once the sunshine broke through across parts of the midlands in warwickshire, we had a high of 26 celsius. we haven't seen temperatures like that since the beginning of the month. now a quiet story on friday continues, but this low pressure is set to move in from the atlantic for the start of the weekend. it'll be the third weekend we've seen an area of low sitting to the north—west. so make the most of friday's weather — dry with some sunny spells, showers should be fairly isolated. it'll feel quite pleasant with the sunshine coming through. a quiet story for many with temperatures generally at around 17 to 23 or 2a degrees, that's 75 fahrenheit. it means there's a potential for another dry day for the cri

can get all the latest sports news at from the bbc from me and the rest of the team at the bbc sport centrere's still no end in sight to the unsettled run of weather that we're in the middle of at the moment. we had a day of sunshine and showers on thursday, but we've got something wetter and windier moving in for friday. it's this area of cloud, an area of low pressure that will continue to develop, continue to strengthen, through friday and saturday, and will ultimately bring some strong winds across many areas with gales for some. those winds strong enough to bring some localised disruption. now, the rain from that system has already started to arrive across the southwest of the uk. it's been a bit of damp weather as well for northern ireland and western scotland, so you might see a little bit of light rain here for the next few hours. mild start to the day friday, 111—15 degrees celsius, but it will be blustery as well with some of the strongest winds through the day across wales and south west england, where gusts into the 50s of miles an hour could be strong enough to bring down some
