kelly elementary is the latest school forced to close because of mold. matt is live in germantown just outside the school and this really puts parents in a tough spot. >> reporter: right. this is a decision in the matter of safety and health so they decided to close this school behind me for those concerns. take a look at the reason why from pictures of mold found on some pipes here at the school. the problem was reported to the district yesterday. traces of mold were found in several classrooms here and the district is blaming the heating and air conditioning system. crews were brought in around 3:30 yesterday afternoon to start working on this problem, trying to remove that mold there and clean this place up. a district spokesman told us he didn't know exactly how this mold was first discovered. >> once we were informed of this issue we took immediate action. within, you know, maybe an hour or so, we had folks here, if not sooner, starting to look at the issue and we made the decision pretty briskly that school would need to be closed. >> reporter: so workers were here well into the evening trying to get the mold out of the school. the spokesman is supposed t
