she knows the industry to workings of sro programs. -- administrative workings of sro programs. thank you. >> good afternoon, thomas picorillo, sro tenant. at this time, the sro taskforce has no effective tenant representation. the task force is proposed of primarily city departments and sro collaboratives. we are here today because the last tenant representative was expelled from the sro taskforce for not participating. the same people advocating now for mr. nelson or ms. cirilo were the ones who represented mr. flanagan previously at the previous rules committee. i am supporting mr. pitts. i have been around the sro task force the last three years, and so has mr. pitts. he has been instrumental in convincing the task force to increase the membership of the committee to 2 the what pennant representatives, and wisely the supervisors adopted that policy -- to two tenant representatives, and wisely the supervisors adopted the policy. i have never seen the others at a task force meeting in the last three years. there is already a representative on the task force from the mission sr

that housing was sro's. although i believe that my professional experience is sufficient, working with indigent populations, it is my current service to the sro community, as of july 2006, but i think best qualifies me to serve and be an asset on the sro taskforce board. previously, i had a more generalist clinical focus, working with a broad spectrum of adults. but in 2009 this focus shifted primarily to advocacy, in part based on a personal experience of having a social service employer contact my hotel, trying to get some kind of back door access to information. this was despite being given sufficient letters of references. i was shocked and dismayed and felt somewhat violated by this. what i did was begin to check out the light of the land and speak with other tenants and find out that this was not an individual occurrence in terms of these sorts of violations. i then print up my commitment to the community. moving forward since 2010, i have worked or served with the mission sro collaborative, assisting

there is no different constitution for people living in sro's. they say the officers come in and intimidate physically or verbally into handing over the passkey. if this were happening anywhere , but sro's, there would be outcry.
