management and we are doing a lot of linkages and referrals to primary care, medi-cal, the cap benefit, ssi so we can still get them help but it will be from the street. we are still identifying the hums and high users on the streets as well and then with the new navigation center we are also assessing different campments in the different districts. the word is out all over by now and a lot of people want to access the navigation center. so it makes it's easier for us and everybody is willing and wanting to go. it makes it a lot easier to do that. that's a partnership with sf p.d. and department of public works and they do the belongings from then campment and we have the care management. we have 16 care managers and two social workers supervising the two teams. one is here an one in the mission. they are getting referrals from, we triage all clients from different, they can be hospitals, mental health providers, just various. substance abuse providers. we get referrals from all over. it could be street like self referred. we triage them on thursday and pass them out to the different case m

those policies have given them a higher income than people received ssdi or ssi. those insurance policies will term out when they reach retirement age. it maybe 62 and 65, some 70. but many people, i will talk in a minute about how many, will see a very dramatic drop in their income such as they are no longer able to afford housing. where we want to put them in a program where there is housing subsidy where they will be able to remain in their current housing. what we don't want to see is people ignoring this problem until more people come into our office with an eviction notice and there is nothing we can do to get them any assistance so they will be able to stay in their housing. when they lose those units they will be gone. the city has tried to get it's arms around how many folks are going to be impacted in this manner. it is a little tricky to get numbers around people living with long-term disability insurance policies. many of those folks have interfaced with the publically funded hiv health system in a more limited manner so we don't have a great deal of d

gentleman is on general assistance which means he has a dedicated shelter bed and his partner is on ssi and she's not guaranteed a shelter bed and they don't know if they will be at the same facility and it creates problems for people with ptsd to be afraid at night and afraid to leave your possessions to go to an appointment even to sign up for a practitioner and we've seen a lot of people stuck on the streets and pets and other people with disabilities and others rely on companions service animals and if it does not have that designation, they are not able to stay with the owner. we have two great dog runs, but the best part is that they barely have been used because people can have their dogs with them at all times and they sleep with them. it's been a very very welcoming environment. we call ourselves low threshold so you don't go through a metal detecter. i am people are up at night for safety and sleep during the day. a shelter sister often lights out and i have had the people describe to me the people in the bed next to them is up and sleeps during the day. things have gone reall

on those variety of areas, adult protective services, ihss, and very definitely the expansion of the ssi and ssp work. they were all addressed. individual pieces of legislation are being developed along those lines to address those topics as we move through the budget process. calworks was also one of though topics. last year senators carol lui and wolk and beale worked on a report shattered system in california and the senior legislature group was informed of legislation that goes along with a number of those recommendations, so right now there are 19 bills. i have information on them that would address those recommendations in the report. 15 of those have been sent to the legislative committee for review. none of them are overlaps of the csl legislation that i mentioned at the last two commission hearings so they have asked for letters of report and resources for testimony. we don't have any specifics on that and as soon as we do we will let you know. so that's 23 bills in total that are being monitored right now by the csl. we were told that many of those will be two year bills so it'
