[applause] [laughter] thank you. >> good morning, everybody we are here to celebrate and we want to celebrate that is right and good about our world and san francisco and about the good work of so many good people. we are here today because we are on a mission from god. this mission is not only to support those who are most vulnerable and in need of our help, but also to help them to sustainablely find a way out of that cycle of poverty, homelessness and abuse that too many experienced for generations. and we are here to help these most vulnerable people because --

st. anthony foundation stepped in with help from the providence foundation and the city's department of homelessness to buy the property, giving families much needed security about their future. >>> without your work, i was not sure what would happen or where i would go or what the future would hold. after devastating losing a child to suicide last year, i became homeless and hopeless. since moving into providence, i gained permanent housing at city gardens here in san francisco. and now i have hope that i can do anything to support my family and provide a safe and permanent housing for them. >> san francisco has 341 beds available to families including the 59 at oasis. in addition to the 2,300 permanent housing rentals and subsidies provided by the city. >>> all right, still ahead. it's the modern twist on the coastal crime. why hundreds of people are taking late night uber rides to the beach and the devastating impact that it could have. >>> and any time someone takes any species, crab, salmon, tuna, halibut out of season, there is a great impact. >>> and plus a welcome sight in the sierra. look a
