considering california fire won't be significantly staffed until next week, they've made progress, at least with this fire. cal fire crews are busy with dozers throughout the day. here's where we stand right now. the fire at 2:00 this morning was originally two separate fires but merged into one earlier this morning. so far, it's burned about 125 acres. this is along yellow jacket road. according to cal fire, it's about 50% contained and should be fully contained by sometime tomorrow morning. cal fire say the winds came relatively early considering it's not fire season just yet. >> we are about two weeks ahead of schedule with the lack of rainfall that we had this winter. our fuels are much drier than normal times of year. so we plan accordingly to bring on additional staffing a little earlier than normal. >> now, the cause of this fire is currently under investigation and no structures have been damaged, at least at this fire. cal fire, again, says this has been a very dry and very dry season so far, but there are a lot of resources being used including two helicopters, fifteen fire
