. >> leo stallworth has the story from glendale. >> the owners of the dog say he was family.hey have been grieving his loss. they say the dog was in the backyard of the home. the owners didn't want to be on camera >> two days after xhags in the morning about 3:00 in the morning a mountain lion jumped over the fence, over the gate and killed our 85 pound black lab and then dragged it about a block and a half away, a day and a half later we found our dog. >> officials have yet to confirm whether a mountain lion like this one or another wild animal. official says with dry conditions along 210, we may see more mountain lion activity as they might come into neighborhoods looking for food and water. the humane society posted flyers warning residents a mountain lion has been prowling in the area the owner says given the wall is rather high, it must have been a large mountain lion that jumped over the wall. >> how do you lift an 85 found dog over a fence? it looks like it. hopefully, we can get the word out to everyone that lives near the foothills there are big cats roaming around.
