peter stanyon, thank you very much. .ching, reading and sharing. and, as we've been hearing, mps have voted overwhelmingly to hold a general election on december the 12th. it's the first election to be held in the run—up to christmas in nearly a century. last night, the prime minister said the public must be given a choice over the future of brexit and the country. the liberal democrats say they'll stand on a manifesto to stop brexit entirely. the party's deputy leader, ed davey told bbc breakfast about the party's plans. the good news for the country, for the liberal democrats, is that borisjohnson wanted to get britain out of the eu before the election. he wanted to ram his brexit bill through parliament and because of the liberal democrats, that's been stopped. so, we go to this election with britain still in the eu and what the liberal democrats will be saying is — if you want to stop brexit, if you want to keep britain in the eu, if you want all the huge benefits that will bring to our economy and our public services
