lisa stark is love from washington. what was the doctor's reaction?> reporter: today he spoke for the first time. 22 victims have testified this week during the sentencing hearing and/or given their statements and he showed no emotion. today he faced the judge and was sobbing and crying. he said he was ashamed at what he had done. he said i misused my talents because of power and greed. >> the judge was not particularly moved. he said these were huge horrific criminal acts. the justice department has identified at least 550 patients, there are probably more who were not treated krektly, either given too much chemo or given chemo when theying didn't even need it. i spoke with two of the patients that we have talked with after the sentencing a woman who believes her husband death was due to dr. fata and a man who received months of chemo. the woman said she doesn't think 45 years is enough. the other says he thinks this will be a life sentence, and he is satisfied. but neither were moved by the tearful apology. they aren't buying it. >> i can imagine. i

is lisa stark lisa you have been following trail that investigators are pursuing, involving mohammed yousef abdulazeez, what are the motives they have about him and the possible motive? >> we have heard from the homeland security side representative mike mccall of texas. he gave us some details we did not know previously. he said abdulazeez was carrying a fully loaded ak ak .47. all the electronic devices on their way to washington, d.c. where they will get a full forensic analysis, looking to see if there is any connection to any terrorist group or whether he was motivated by any terrorist group. and in fact, what mccall said today is that he believed the islamic state in syria was the motivating force if you will, if not directly then at least online for this attack. here's when he had to say. >> so my judgment in my experience is that this was a i.s.i.s. inspired attack. and it has been open as a terrorism investigation by the fbi which is a very significant event in this case. >> reporter: now what mccall is saying is that he says he believes the islamic state is sending tens of

maybe it is not quite so stark. we know that there is an up stream amount of nitrogen and that is energized by the solar wind and careried away by the solar winds. what happens and this graphic you are looking at gives you a sense of what we think happened is that as it escaped the atmosphere is ionized and picked up by the solar wind and the size of the interaction spills out beyond the scale of the satellite. we have flown through this and the next slide shows you what we think it is happening. that swath detected the ionized molecules molecules. what we behind pluto is a tail. an ion tail of the atmosphere that is being pulled away and carried away in the solar wind. when we get the data back in august we will get to quantify and the team put that together and we will be able to quantify that escaping atmosphere. what we think it is based on models and a pretty good guess, is about 500 tons per hour of material that is escaping. we know it is about one ton per hour and this more because of the weaker gravity on p
