as giving tuesday launched this year, we're able to apply for a grant from the starling fund to gives more resources to up the cash prizes and highlight the really incredible work of some of our community members as they're highlighting such positive aspects of our community. >> where did the inspiration for this idea come from? how is it born? >> we do a triannual community assessment and those often talk about what are the challenges to being healthy. we started asking our community, what do you like about the community? what makes you proud to live here. that was the question that took people back. we started to look for ways to highlight that. the effort had more than 50 graphs, we had local social media influencers judge for us. we commissioned one of the photographers to do photographs for us that are still hanging in our office. when we started this year, our prize format is also -- we give a cash prize to the winner and we also allow that winner to select a local non-profit and give an equivalent, $250 for the winner and another $250 to the non-profit of the winner's choice.
