accident at the ohio state fair. a report by the ride's manufactufer says "excessive corrosion" is to blame. that apparently caused a support beam on the "fireball" ride to fail. one person died and seven others were hurt. similar rides across the country were shut down after the accident. "k-m-g international" says it is working on a safety protocol to allow those rides to reopen. that massive sinkhole north of tampa is growing. officials condemned two more homes. that brings the total number of homes that are now unliveable to six. the sinkhole opened - the middle of last month. it's now about 260 feet wide. a 10-by-80 foot long section of saturday. crews now plan to work from a barge, which will float on water in the sinkhole. in california - a chemical spill leaves at least a dozen people hurt. a flammable liquid leaked from a shipping container in the port of long beach sunday morning. eleven shipworkers and a firefighter were exposed to the fumes from the chemical. no word yet on what caused the spill. a consum
