supervisor stefani? >> thank you. i want to start out by thinking supervisor peskin for bringing this forward. i want to say it is important to have a policy conversation around the dangers of facial recognition balanced with any public safety concerns. supervisor peskin did mention that we are not the first, we are actually the seventh and each county has done things a little bit differently, for instance in santa clara, they didn't do a full out ban on facial recognition, but required public oversight of all surveillance. each county has tackled this program -- problem a little bit differently. obviously the abuse of surveillance should be dealt with, especially when it harms marginalized communities, and it is not used for its intended use , which is to keep the public safe. i do want to thank supervisor peskin and his legislative aide who are working with us on the amendments at supervisor peskin mentioned that i will not go into. i do have some remaining questions. the latest amendments that came out as committee

last but not least up is the supervisor from district 2, supervisor stefani. >> commissioner: thank you president yee. i'd like to call rodney fong up to the podium. i'm excited to honor rodney fong as district 2's asian pacific of the month honoree. he's a resident of district 2 and father and husband committed to working on behalf of the next generation of san franciscans to make san francisco an even better place. he's a fourth-generation san franciscan who comes from an family of entrepreneurs. in 1962 his grandfather sold his family farm and purchased the smith anderson building on the official fisherman's wharf and opened the wax museum and he was instrumental in developing fisherman's wharf into the thriving traction and left his mark as the former president of the fisherman's wharf director and led in the creation of the fisherman's wharf community district which is still thriving today and served as the past president of both the san francisco port commission and the planning commission. they both require a large commitment of time and a lot of work. thank you for your service

stefanie: we strongly believe we do not. looking back at the macro fundamental picture, there is an equal balance. we just looked at one example in terms of inflationary pressures. could, as aat what retaliation with capital market instruments from china, you have both sides of the equation for the dollar. on the one hand, maybe the currency channel is open again and the chinese will weaken -- this would be positive for the dollar. we could discuss whether the u.s. treasury holdings will be dollarhich would be negative. -- that is negative for the u.s. corporations. donald trump is contemplating whether he puts on even more retaliatory measures. if sentiment is getting even worse, then risk positions will be sold and the u.s. dollar will benefit from that. from that perspective, the macro picture, we believe has an equal rating at the moment and if you look at the other pillars that are important to look at, it is also technical and positioning. from a position perspective, from what we saw before the u.s. china trade tensio
