here's what we know that happened right here at stenton and ogontz where the suspect encountered more police officers, one of the officers got our his cruiser to approach the suspect in his car. at that point in time, police tell us that the suspect hit that officer. that would be the fourth officer in this situation. then, two other officers who had responded got out of their cars, they opened fire two shots were fired, one of the bullets struck the suspect in the chest. and from there, we know that the suspect took off down to ogontz avenue. and police tell us he eventually turned on to colonial street about half a block away. again, back out here live at the scene, you can see crime scene investigators are still gathering evidence. they are still keeping this area secure. and as i mentioned, that child care center, they are still in lockdown mode wanting to make sure that parents get here quickly but safely to pick up their children. reporting live in west oak lane, i'm rosemary connors, nbc 10 news. >> our team coverage continues with harry hairston. >> live at the 1900 block wher
