stephanie and i'm stephanie angleson. it took a jury four days and it caused the victims a lot of frustration. but today, finally a verdict in the trial of pete polson. polson was accused of shooting up a pleasant hill neighborhood last fall. he seriously hurt two people. and as part of his long list of charges, that also included drugs-- he was charged with two counts of attempted murder. however-- he wasn't convicted of both. stephanie: local five's claire powell explains,( live from the polk county courthouse for us. claire jack and stephanie, at 2:30 the jury finally reached their verdict- finding pete polson guilty on all nine counts. however, when it comes to the three attempted murder charges, polson was only found guilty for one count of attempted murder... then the jury went with a lesser offense for the other two counts. they found polson guilty of serious injury for both matthew stephenson who narrowly missed being shot that day... and also for zach whitehill who was shot once in the back and once in the neck.
