stephanie, thanks a lot.the area of center and story roads. police say a homeless man was on a bike. that's when he was hit by 2 cars. one of those cars took off the second driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation so far this year in san jose. 54 people have been killed in deadly traffic accidents and in the east bay. police in antioch are investigating a deadly shooting that happened overnight just before midnight. police responded to reports of a shooting on the 2600 block of belmont lane. when they arrived, they found a man in the parking lot who'd been shot. he died at the scene rig t now. investigators are interviewing witnesses trying to identify the shooter. meantime, oakland city leaders have joined with the community to address the rise of crime in the city. this coming as the city marks its 100nd homicide of the year. kron four's amanda hari spoke with city council members and brings us their reactions. >> oakland leaders spent saturday but their community just hours af

stephanie: it is certainly tilted in that direction.e have to wait to see what happens with cpi next week. with the labor force participation ticking down, that is not what they wanted to see. we saw uniformly fed president talking about hawkish narrative and this feeds into that. guy: in terms of where this leaves us, does this tell us that the labor market is slowing but slowing relatively slowly and how does that change the long-term trajectory of rate hikes? the question is 75 for the next meeting. but if we keep going with these kinds of numbers and the labor market slows, how hard will the fed have to hit it? stephanie: i think slowing slowly is the way to put it. we are still too high for with the fed is looking to achieve. we have gone well above the natural growth in the labor force and we will continue tightening labor market. the 263 is still too hot for what the fed looking to achieve and they will keep pushing and the risk is they go to much. they expect on a planet will rise to 4.4%. it has only happened with recessions le
