stephanie butler a mother of four who was there joins me now.hat roxanne school board president seems like she's lecturing to a bunch of kindergartners, much less trying to deal with adults. that's what she's paid to do in that role. why is a school board so afraid of a robust debate? >> that's a very good question. i would love to know the answer to that. but i've been hitting brick walls. so. >> todd: you are the parent to came forward about the books and library. what happened when you ultimately raise the issue. >> what i wanted to do is get divinity awareness and i've been trying for at the board meetings for about a year. the problem is in 3 minutes time which is what you are allotted to speak calmly i didn't have enough time to get my message across so i decided one day did go do a video outside of one of the high schools and all of a sudden it went viral and i had... we had set up a book rally, just trying to let the parents know. it would've been happy if there was 50 people that showed up. instead, we got a crowd of over 800 people. if

this generation and what is going to happen with that, something to think about, we'll bring in stephanie butlerl join me to discuss this. i want to get your initial reaction to these new numbers. >> well, i would love to say i'm surprised, but with everything going on in the world, i am not surprised by this nation's report card this morning. >> ashley: you pulled your youngest kid out of public school during the pandemic how did this affect your youngest child and are they doing better since you pulled them out >> there was two i pulled from elementary school and put them in private school. i can't even begin to explain the difference. my daughter joined cheerleading. she was getting bullied in public school. my son is learning cursive and coding in school. it is staggering, they are getting a good education and i rather go out and break my back and give them a good education than i saw what was happening in public schools. >> ashley: i know plenty of people doing the same as you. last question, who do you think is responsible for all of this? >> well, i definitely would like to point my finge
