stephanie chuang is live in alameda. good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you both. we're at isle marina is what this is called. someone near her heard a crash. when police got here this is what they found, a 40-foot you power boat. on the boat was a woman. police said she was drunk. she had claimed that there was another woman on this boat with her but police actually ended up arresting this woman for being intoxicated and they are not sure about the story about a missing person because apparently she has changed her story several times. however, just to take all precaution police did have boats out here, alameda fire had a boat, the coast guard had a helicopter searching the morning hours, but the search was called off at about 4:00 this morning until it is light out again, because right now of course it's too dark. so, whenever the light comes back out they will resume this search. what they are working to do now is get a boom around this boat because at this point they do have environmental concerns, possible leakage of any fluid, fuel of course from this boat. a

stephanie chuang is live in alameda with the latest on the search. good morning, stephanie. >> reporter: good morning. we're live at the marina where it happened. the call coming in 2:00 this morning from a resident who heard a loud collision. this is what investigators found when they got here. it's about a 40-foot power boat so obviously some speed involved as it launched out of the water on the shore. it's a bit of a fact finding mission is what police call this because they found a woman on board, she's in her late 20s they say. and she said that there was another woman on board with her. now, this woman was nowhere to be found. and that the woman they did find was apparently drunk so they did arrest her, but it's a bizarre story. just take all the precautions investigators did call in the coast guard, launched a helicopter, they had rescue boats out here. alameda fire had a boat. they were in the waters about two hours before they called it off temporarily until there is light back out. in the meantime, oakland fire department is headed this way.
