"today in the bay" stephanie chuang is live at the incident command post with the latest numbers. good morning, steph. >> reporter: we are at the new cal fire command post in vacaville, 20 miles south of where we were before. you can see where firefighters have to check in. we are told they moved here at 10:00 last night. you get the sense there is progre progress, that the numbers are much better than they were before. the acreage still at 6,900 but that's roughly the same as noon yesterday. weather has certainly helped. it's still a big wildfire, containment just at 15% and almost 1,400 firefighters and personnel out here. that blooped from 500 yesterday morning. since wednesday afternoon the start of the fire firefighters have struggled with the steep rugged terrain. thankfully no other structures have burned, still just that one barn destroyed and one house damaged. cal fire says it is not letting up on attack. >> we are not taking any chances with the percent contained. we still have a lot of open line to build. we are not taking any chances. >> reporter: this is heavily depe

"today in the bay" stephanie chuang joins us live near lake berryessa. has been talking to firefighters. have they been able to make any this headway? >> reporter: they were able to especially overnight. there were flames visible at 128 at pleasant road where it is closed to through traffic. now we've got live pictures from our chopper here that show there are very active flames going on it is a very fluid situation here. the wragg fire now at 6,000 acres, only 5% contained and firefighters dealing with some very steep, rugged terrain, they limited access to the hottest spots here. that's making it very difficult, as well as very try fuel here the brush and grass because of the drought conditions. a very challenging fire might is how cal fire has described it to us, so tar 200 homes threatened and several areas under mandatory evacuation but firefighters saying people are heeded those warnings and that has made our job far easier. so back to you live. they're being b. to send choppers up maybe in about an hour. the helicopters will be going up after 8:00
