kate, what did stephanie grisham reveal about there book and does it shock you?ed it, but some of the things she reveals are interesting. one of the things she talks about is melania trump and a lot about her husband donald trump is that she read all of her press. a lot of people think she didn't care, was aloof, but she was obsessively going through anything. she had a google alert set up about her. it was really just grisham and then it was melania herself, and that's really it. another thing the book talks about which is interesting is that besides her secret service name, which was muse, she also earned another nickname, approximate rapunzel. and that's because she never really left the residence. grisham said she only saw melania trump in her east wing office a handful of times in all the years she was there, and the secret service dubbed her rapunzel, because whenever she would come down from her tower, that would be an event. i know from covering her, she didn't do a lot of travel, she didn't do a lot of events. when she did they were typically brief. so,

when stephanie grisham wrote her book, she said point-blank, somebody like me -- talking about herself- somebody like me was never going to have a chance to go to d.c. and go to the show without hooking up with somebody like the trump campaign. there have been people who said, if we keep people scared, we can stay on television, on radio, and, you know, become celebrities in our own right, and not have to really care about what happens to the rest of the country. at the elected level, what you have is a staggering amount of cowardice and self-interest. chuck grassley is 88 years old. at some point, you know, when is it enough? when does he simply say, i'm just too old for this? i don't mean too old to be a senator. i mean too old to have to bend the knee to somebody like donald trump. so there is this whole complex of people who finally found a place in the sun by scaring the hell out of the rest of america. when that's combined with a bunch of people whose primary goal in life is just to stay in washington, d.c., you know, that puts the constitution in a lot of danger. then people are
