'somehow she became aware that these people were at her home, she saw the car she saw one of the suspects was armed.' des moines police say her quick thinking got officers, who were nearby, to the home quickly.... 'as the suspects were leaving they did not gain entry into her home as they were leaving the officer pulled in behind them, as soon as he turned on his lights and signaled for them to stop the driver took off and led the officers on a chase down park avenue.' police say the chase reached speeds of up to 70 miles per hour and stop sticks were deployed to slow the car down...that caused the car to spin out in a ditch at 63rd and park.. the two suspects ran away into a quickly caught up with them. 'the suspects tried to run from the car but not a wise move with the fresh snow, it was easy to follow their tracks we had them in custody in a matter of minutes
