i'm stephanie sierra and we begin with the weather and that level one system. francis dinglasan is back and we're so happy to have you with us. what's the latest? >> all right. you're going to want to grab your winter coats and your parkas because it is going to be wet and windy throughout the day. and definitely on the cool side, here's live doppler seven. lots of light rain in the green falling over the bay area with some heavier rain closer towards the santa cruz mountains and just past san jose. and this system will bring us wet weather through the weekend. as you can see how widespread it is. it's going to be a cold one too, on our storm impact scale. it's a level one storm out of five light, but we can we can see brief downpours at times, gusty conditions, even a chance of thunder and small hail bringing snow to some of our highest peaks. so for the next couple hours we'll see some heavy rain. 6:00 this morning, the yellow there moving through napa. that's a heavier rainfall. the pink and white is the snow. and then by 8:00 this morning, you'll notice it

i'm stephanie sierra. lisa is here. and with a look at that forecast, hopefully it's slightly warmer. >> yeah, a little bit warmer. we're still going to be below average and starting out with temperatures. certainly on the cool side, we had a few upper 30s up in our north bay valleys. but live doppler seven quiet right now. and as we look at our current temperatures, you see those 30s from danville to livermore, 46 in san jose and 42 in oakland with mid 30s up in calistoga and santa rosa. so we are getting into a breezy pattern again with that sea breeze throughout the afternoon. so that will kind of offset those low 60s that arrive later on. right now, anywhere from 2 to 4 degrees, a little milder, cooler. at the coast, there's a look from our emeryville camera. and as we go through the morning hours, 50s by noontime, mostly sunny, mid and upper 50s, there could be a few isolated showers over the higher elevations, but we'll see those mid 60s arrive in our inland valleys today. then we'll talk about the warm up coming

i'm stephanie sierra and we are getting ready for some sun today.e about that. >> well, i sure hope so. >> yeah, yes, we are definitely going to see some sun. it's been so cold and actually yesterday turned out pretty but boy it was gusty. live doppler seven. picking up on a very quiet radar scene. and we are talking about the frost temperatures as low as 33 to 36 this morning. just about everyone except the shoreline under a frost advisory, 35 in danville, 36 in livermore, 48 sfo oakland. you're at a cool 42. and look at that. 34 in napa, 37 novato, mill valley, vallejo and compared to 24 hours ago, 2 to 4 degrees colder for almost everyone except at the coast. a live look outside from emeryville, where we'll enjoy a lot of sunshine today. it's going to take a while to warm up. we'll be below average 50 all around the bay except out closer inland, maybe some low 60s. we'll talk about that warm up on the way in a few minutes. stephanie. >> all right. lisa thank you. >> today, convoys escorting drivers along a stretch of highway one are expected to r

i'm stephanie sierra. is here with the forecast and we get to look forward to a little bit of a warm up. >> yeah, we certainly do today. on the cooler side, we'll see a bright day with a few clouds arriving later on. live doppler seven is quiet. there is a weak system that may want to drop a few light showers in the upper elevations, but as for right now, look at that. 36 in danville, 45 in san jose, sfo milder at 47, but that's still cold. 37 santa rosa and napa, with 40. in mill valley. so we are a couple degrees milder but about seven degrees colder at the coast. there's half moon bay temperatures certainly dropping, so mostly sunny conditions, maybe an isolated shower, upper elevations late in the afternoon. we'll see. low 60s to maybe mid 60s from our east bay valley, santa rosa, san jose, but a cool mid and upper 50 profile along the shoreline with breezy onshore winds and then a big warm up for your monday. we'll detail that and the rest of the week in a few minutes. stephanie. >> lisa, thank you. n

it's saturday, april 6th, i'm stephanie sierra. lisa is here with some more on the sun today that we get to see, but it's chilly out there this morning. it certainly is. >> we have a frost advisory through 9:00 for pretty much everyone except the coast and the bay shore. starting out with live doppler seven, where it is quiet. we're not expecting anything in the form of rain today it is 39, in concord, with 41 in fremont and palo alto. awfully cold, upper 30s in gilroy with freezing temperatures from calistoga to 34 in napa and mid and also by the water in vallejo. so 4 to 7 degrees colder for years. saturday and a look at how low it could go into the low 30s the next couple of hours. and as we go through the morning hours it's still chilly. but by noontime we are in the mid and upper 50s trying to turn a corner on this cold snap. and as we get towards the afternoon, it's below average, but we have a few low 60s inland. more sunshine to start the day and we'll talk about increasing clouds, maybe a sprinkle arriving on sunday. but w

it's saturday, april 20th i'm stephanie sierra. lisa great to have you back this weekend. thank you. and you brought the nice weather. yeah, i think so. >> a little bit of a warm up as we get through the weekend. today, the cooler day out of the two and live doppler seven shows you the cloud cover. this is a marine layer, and you can see it clearly from mount tam. there a beautiful start. 627 the official sunrise and current numbers are from the low 50s. san francisco, oakland 53, in san jose, half moon bay 52. and there's a look at pier 39, where temperatures are really not too far off from the peninsula and the south bay with upper 40s, but that petaluma at 46, that's chilly and 51 in concord. so as we look at the 24 hour temperature change, a couple degrees cooler in the north bay, a couple degrees milder elsewhere. so as we go through the morning hours, we'll begin to see more sunshine. and then by noontime we're in the low 70s inland low 60s around the coast and could see a random 80 out there towards brentwood. we'll talk about sunday's warmth arriving in a few minut
