i'm stephanie stanton. jessica, back to you. >>> congresswoman gabrielle giffords is on the mend tonight after successful surgery to replace of section of skull. doctors removed that piece of skull and replaced it with a computer modeled implant. they removed part of her skull to allow for brain swelling shortly after she was shot in the head january 8th in that mass shooting in arizona. the implant replaces the damaged section of skull. it comes after gifford's travel to florida to watch her husband launch into space aboard "endeavour." >>> and hundreds of health professionals to the mcdonald's hamburger chain, a letter ran today in the san francisco examiner and five other u.s. newspapers. in that letter, 550 health organizations and professionals ask mcdonald's to stop using ronald mcdonald to market their food to children. the letter was timed to run one day before the annual mcdonald's shareholder meeting. the corporation responded saying ronald is an ambassador for good and the company takes communica
