joining me now, stephen munro in washington. what is this about?en: it's about money and dirty words. there's a couple of parties exchanging hot rhetoric. alix: in terms of the actual proposition, what are they fighting over? stephen: the voters of arizona have been asked to approve a 50% renewable energy standard to take effect in 2030. the main utilities and the state oppose that strongly because they have a lot of embedded assets that don't use renewable energy. you have these two irreconcilable forces pitted against each other. alix: what kind of money are we talking here? you look at the type of money that tom steyer's group has poured into it, it is tremendous. who will have the upper hand here? stephen: tom steyer's organization has been outspent by the utilities organization. to the tune of about $22 million as opposed to $19 million, according to last reports. both parties are throwing a lot of money into this race. the polls so far look in favor of utilities. in other words, against the proposition to increase the utility, renewable share
