i think the lesson from stephen a. smithhat even though he had received two doses of a vaccine that's not 100% effective at preventing all serious illness, it's highly effective but not 100%. the lesson i would say is even if you've been vaccinated, fully vaccinated you still should wear a tight fitting mask when you're indoors with people, you know, lots of people and you don't know many of them. in terms of just sort of saying, well, what the hell, we are all going to get this infection so just sit back and get it, bad idea. i mean, omicron, it is truly less virulent in that you are less likely to go to the hospital, less likely to go to the icu, less likely to go to the morgue but it's not a virulent meaning it still can cause hospitalization and suffering and death, you never want to get a natural infection. when dr. fauci said this may be the live viral vaccine we are all hoping for, the one i would hope for is one that is essentially mimics the common cold where that's all you get is an upper respiratory tract infectio
