but we begin with stephen kim and an update on power problems in the bronx. stephen. >> reporter: joe, it's been traffic light is still out. police are still here directing traffic. and crews are still down the block working as quickly as they can. this is the intersection of east chester road in the bronx. the businesses all on that side of the street are without power. there is good news, power is slowly coming back in some places. at the peak of this outage, customers were without power. now only 430 customers are without power. we found several homes without electricity since 2:30 this afternoon, including a senior center that we spotted residents sitting outside, saying it was too hot to be indoors. about an hour ago or so we saw crews arrive and many residents got their power back. minutes later the biggest issue with residents was the lack of said it would take 20 to 30 minutes. then we called them again and they said we can't tell you the exact time it will be back. >> it was really bad. my husband is very sick in a bed. they can't do nothing. >> repor
