and you know in a lot of stephen king stephen king books and stories you have this sort of didn't element is too blue and here it's that some parents don't like their kids and some adults don't like children which is a terrific setting for a film because the audience is really invested in what happens to those kids because those kids are already up against it so the 2nd chapter doesn't have this claustrophobic effect that it still suggests that the whole town is infected in a way by pennywise. it is not a shame really because it's such a terrific cast just quickly yet so great cast yes got jessica chest day and then there's james mcavoy and there's of course bill's zog i think one of the big stands out is james ransom who plays the adult he really captures this intense neurotic wound energy that. soul that the child had definitely something for aficionados it chapter 2 perhaps not delivering quite the bang for the buck that the predecessor did but nevertheless. thank you very much for bringing us back to town thanks melissa. well if all those scary images are not your thing then our next

an adaptation of the stephen king novel. 27 years later, the losers club returns back to derry by theof it, the clown —like shape shifter. the problem with this film, the first was a coming—of—age story with horror elements in it. i thought it was really well directed. this feel like something which is altogether more episodic, altogether more bitter. it is nearly three hours long. it has numerous strands and operates over two different timeframes with individual set pieces, you are saying one now, which are played out really brilliantly and well orchestrated. but for a movie which concentrates so much on memory, forgetting, on characters going underground and discovering what lies beneath, the film itself is much more about service. its individual moments work in and of itself, when you put them together, they do not add up to a coherent narrative. my biggest problem is that i think for horror to work properly, you have to be emotionally engaged and i found myself 90 minutes into the nearly three hours of this thinking that is engagement is not kicking in. that is not to say it is no
