steve: mr. donald trump says is correct. believes the u.s. is everything wrong with the world and then pays to fix it. >> well, i don't know if trump is going to say that, but i think it's a fair thing to say. we have been the most generous country. we accept more illegal immigrants. we have put tens of billions of dollars into foreign aid, we put tens of billions of dollars in humanitarian aid trying to follow up after tsunamis and earthquakes. so i think it is reasonable to say to the world you have to do your fair share too. >> you're right. we fund 22% of the un, 28% of the peace-keeping mission. yet, oftentimes it's wielded against us whether it's international criminal court or the human rights condition against us and our easily in a antiwestern way. how do you change that dynamic? >> well, i think we have to look very seriously at whether or not in the long run you have to rethink the entire relationship and form some kind of organization of democracies. because you're exactly right. whe

(steve) and i'm steve aveson. tonight the search is on for two men who assaulted and robbed a woman. it happened around 11 p-m wednesday night near bryant street and el dorado avenue in palo alto kron-4's charles clifford talked to people who live in the area- --surprised by the brutal attack. well, bryant street here in palo alto is a very quiet street but late wednesdya evening one woman discovered that problems can even reach this quiet area. according to the palo alto police department, on wednesday just past 11pm, a woman in her 60s had parked here along bryant street outside the home of a relative. as she was unpacking items from her car two men approached her on foot. without warning one man hit her in the stomach and pushed her to the ground. the assailant then grabbed her purse and the two suspects fled south along bryant riding bicyclesduring the confrontation, a male relative of the victim emerged from the house and chased the men on foot but fell to the ground. both he and the victim received

steve.orm is barreling down right now. tell us where you are in respect to greater san juan, puerto rico. >> we're in san juan, not far from the airport in a concrete park parking garage. we herd a lot about destructive winds and these winds could be deadly. it's clear that they are right now. we are seeing large concrete hotels in the capital simply being torn apart minute by minute. we have seen large pieces of the sidewalls come out. we have seen balconies go flying. trees snapped in half. they warned the winds here could be 120 to 160 miles per hour over the next couple of hours. and their worst fear is really coming true so far that the eastern part, the heavily populated part of this island, a u.s. territory of 3.5 million people is getting a direct hit from this storm. there are real concerns from the governor that this storm could be life threatening. what you are looking at now are some of the main, most solid buildings in the capital. and those buildings are being torn apart by the

steve: it is. look at what the president has accomplished with congress thus far, he did not have one ledge larvel win, really, any of the big stuff thanks to any of the republicans. this morning he actually had something accomplished with help from the democrats. and he thinks that this opening is an opportunity on what he really wants. and what he ran on. and that is building at least a portion of the wall. and so on his side, he wants the wall. on the democratic side, they want the dreamers to stay. here's the president on perhaps a deal on daca. >> congress, i really believe, wants to take care of this situation. i really believe it we discussed that also today. and chuck and nancy would like to see something happen. like to see something where we have good border security and we have a great daca transaction. where everybody is happy. now they don't have to worry about it anymore. i would like to see a permanent deal and i think it's going to happen. pete: it really good. heidi heitkamp approv
