to my left is steve clark, who is the most senior controller and is both a wealth of knowledge on our complicated train system, but also a very good teacher. and that he is able to give guidance to people who are looking for track time, how do i test the castro crossover? how do i get a train across it? it's a delegate balancing act and ingenius and creative, but most of all, showed fidelity to the system. there is massive activity with few incidents. thomas mcqueen is a controller that works overnight. this, again, requires a great deal of dependence, initiative, and i can tell you as recipient of the diligence and good work every morning that i never have an empty mailbox at 4:30 a.m. when it's time to rise and shine at get at it when it comes to steady and consistent and safe stewardship of the system. so in my view, it's long pastime to recognize some behind the curtain voices or people that we don't normally see. i feel bad interrupting their sleep cycle to show up here, so i am hoping their acceptance speeches may be less because of that. but, again, steve clark and thomas mcque

clark. i'm glad you're with us. steve paulson is here talking about a lot of things expect outer bands producing big rain over the big island and heading toward maui and oahu looks to be the focus. hurricane force winds are too far to the west southwest. it doesn't mean they can't get some tropical forest wind, but this looks like a rain producer as a more serious threat and even a storm searches on the south bay -- south facing beaches. there could be's 20+ inches at the higher out -- higher elevations. it will weekend and also slow down being toward the island over the next 24 hours. we have a low cloud deck that is large and in charge. the system has carved itself out of the california area and is allowing this cool pattern to process. water temperatures have come up . bodega bay and san francisco bay still in the 50s. moderate in the 60s. lows in that's why it's mild. that includes down in the santa clara valley. even santa cruz in their the santa cruz mountains coming up and all 60s around cupertino and eva campbell.
