steve: hopefully that's coming in our direction. dari: nick gregory in the house to tell us. nick: we'll get into the nice weather. we have wet weather to get through first. it's raining heavily as we look at fox 5 sky guardian. look at this good band of yellows across central long island. it's freeport up to levittown. we're seeing heavy rain moving through that area. that heavy rain extends northward, white plains up to new city, extending over the hudson valley, moving off to the north. we'll put this into motion on fox 5 sky guardian 3-d. it continues to advance northward. you'll be getting into the heavy rain soon in connecticut. we'll get a bit of a break from the heavy rain. we'll see showers and storms as the night goes along. in the last burst of rain, we've seen the rainfall pick up. we're anywhere from a half inch to three-quarters of an inch and another half inch to an inch will fall. notice more moisture come up the eastern seaboard as the storm rotates towards the great lakes and the wind has been a factor. it's been quite strong out of the south-southeast at 15

steve: it could become more intense. it's not clear how much of a threat it will be. dari: let's get to nick gregory who is at the map with the latest on the storm's path. nick: that threat is becoming less and less for the east coast, which is good news for us. we have our own problems to deal with before we talk about what's going to be happening with the hurricane's track. take a look at this satellite photo. it's a category 4 storm. you can see the eye moving southwestward. this is the first category 4 hurricane to strike the central bahamas since the late 1800's. the winds are at 130. we're waiting for another aircraft to investigate the system. i bet when they get in there, they'll find the storm is stronger than that. it's moving to the southwest at 6 miles an hour. watch the track. this is just in from the national hurricane center. the trend has been further eastward in motion. that is depicted in this track, but still a category 4 storm as it moves northward, then starts to weaken as it gets east of the carolinas, down to a 2 storm and picking up wind shear. watch this right turn east of m

steve: a day in history. who could forget. he alluded to the fact that it's rained most of the day in kansas city. doesn't look like the game will be a washout. dari: nick gregory is here to tell us what the forecast for game one is going to look like. nick: they should get it in fine. early showers are a possibility. you have a storm center moving to the east and a cold front coming from the west. the result is going to be not a big deal going on. we've had some drizzle there much of the time. take a look at the current radar plot out of kansas city. there are a couple of bands of lighter showers off to the west. we can't rule that out for the next one to three hours being in the area. take a look at the futurecast for around the kansas city area. you can see the showers pull out of there as we go through the game. game, it looks good. the nice weather will move back in. it will be on the cooler side. it should not be an issue. right now temperatures in the kansas city area, middle 50s up to st. joseph and topeka. that's where the temperature is going to stay going into the evening. it stays cloudy and cool. we'll call for a few showers, a little drizzle early
