steven kornacki is here. steve, i guess it's pretty easy to understand why senator jeff flake might not want to be anywhere in the vicinity when the president touches down. >> yeah. we've got basically a soap opera here with some real political stakes. the quick back story, last year in the presidential campaign jeff flake would not support donald trump, he had a very tense behind-the-scenes encounter with donald trump, a meeting of republican senators, he's been very critical of donald trump recently in a new book he wrote and trump made no bones about the fact he wouldn't mind seeing jeff flake taken out in a republican primary next year. that's the backdrop for this event. trump will be in flake's backyard, have the faithful there, is he going to be taking shots at republican senator who's up for re-election next year. this is the jam that jeff flake finds himself in. first of all, he's already got a primary challenger, kelli ward, former state senator, doctor, very conservative, made some very provocative comme
