steve mcleod calls himself a hurricane surviver.urricane katrina bored down on his city and forced him to seek shelter at the astro dome, in houston. the arrival of hurricane isaac brought back a rush of memories. >> especially with the fact that today is the seven year anniversary of katrina. it brings back a lot of emotions that took me a long time to get over. eerily similar to what i saw in katrina. >> we're trying to drive home, but the rental agencies are not helping us get out. i feel that everyone's being over cautious. >> reporter: back at the boxing room louisiana natives remember thinking the same thing before katrina. now even tropical storms are a potential threat, and erring on the side of caution, expected. tonight, steve mcleod's family who still lives in new orleans has no power and no idea what lies ahead. >> they're going out into the truck, and charging their phones to try to be able to keep in touch with me, because i'm the only one that can tell them what's going on. >> reporter: after his shift ends here tonig
