steve moore, let me bring you in. along with this is a huge windfall on tax revenue for the these states. it is incredible. right now this year they're projected to get just under a billion dollars in tax revenue from oil and gas. so that could go up to $3 billion. the economic boom to the region, it generates about $22 billion right now in oil alone. that doesn't count the gas. that could go up to $46 billion per year. i mean that's a lot of wealth to not like about this story. by the way it is not just tax revenue, you're right. by the way, the long-term solution to a lot of these states pension problems, you know, the time bombs, it is drill for oil and impose severance taxes and use that money pay off some, that is the only way out for california quite frankly. melissa: yeah. >> has about as much oil as they have in north dakota. so that is another state that could be a major oil producer. let's not forget by the way, melissa, despite what is going on in north dakota which is a fantastic story, the bigger five yea

moore. with me in new york i have steve ellis from taxpayers for common sense. tative mcbride, let me begin with you. what do you need there in moore? what are your expectations of what the federal government can provide to help you folks rebuild? >> you know, i don't really know. i was in a motorcade with our congressmen and senators from d.c. they all flew in today. i know that congressman cole had spoke with the president twice today and he assured him that he was going to take care of us and in what manner i'm not sure. that's on their level. i look to them for getting that aid for us. i know the president did declare five oklahoma counties. in oklahoma one of the things about oklahoma is we pull together. i can think of $10 million just in the last five or six hours that i know that was contributed by some different oil companies and different things. so that's just the beginning. we'll step up to the plate and we like to take care of our own but we can also use that money plus the house passed a bill today. i wasn't able to get there today. $45 million out

moore, oklahoma, are simply seared into memory. a family walking away from the devastated briarwood elementary school, steve, the dad cradling one daughtercked up her children. >> abc's diane sawyer talked with the kolbs and their daughter jordan. >> i tried to be the best dad i could at that time. wanted her to feel safe and we would all be okay. i wish i could have split myself in two. stayed there and helped out other kids. because, i can imagine how they were feeling at that time. you know, their parents weren't there. they are kind of wandering around. it's like you are in a movie, and it's like, it's like everybody is playing a part. it is we are all acting or something like that. it is not, doesn't seem real to you that this is occurring. >> jordan, how long did that tornado seem to last for you? >> forever. seemed like it was like an hour. like, it was crazy. i mean, i can't even believe we survived that. >> i was just grabbing on to whatever i could. once the roof lifted off of the building, i felt myself being sucked and i knew that -- if i was taken then all the little babies underneath me would be gone too. so i just held on
