abc's steve osunsami on the hunt under way. >> reporter: tennessee authorities are searching the woods and roads tonight, carrying big rifles, searching for these three men who broke out of a county jail. and they're putting one of them on the list of the state's most wanted. >> we do not know if they have any weapons at this time, but they could have reached them, so we want to ask everyone please don't approach and call us. >> reporter: 28-year-old matt white and 32-year-old jeffrey strong were awaiting trial for theft and drug charges. but the youngest, 20-year-old dylan ferguson, is considered the most dangerous, accused in an august 2016 murder. investigators tell us the three escaped by pulling a speaker from a wall, crawling through the small hole and into the ceiling of another room, where they used blankets to lower themselves. then, they ran out of the back of the jail. police believe they stole a pickup truck that looked like this one from one of the inmates uncles. the truck was found this morning abandoned, about eight miles from the macon county jail. >> and steve osunsam

here's steve osunsami. >> this is a child's life that we're talking about. >> reporter: outside this children's hospital in atlanta, the protests are growing tonight, demanding that officials at emory health care reverse their decision. >> it's only temporary. >> reporter: and give this 2-year-old a kidney transplant from his father. anthony burgess jr. was born premature and without a working kidney. he needs this tranplant to survive. anthony sr. is a perfect match, but an imperfect father, spending the last few years in and out of jail on theft and shoplifting charges. he was arrested again for violating parole and released from jail right before the surgery scheduled for october 3rd. that's when emory health care said no, explaining in this letter that the surgery was now on hold until the boy's father can show "evidence of compliance with his parole officer for the next three months." s saying they'll re-e vail wait in january. >> everybody in the transplant unit. that's what they told us, everybody agreed to that situation. >> i want to give him a kidney. i'd go to the hospital

abc's steve osunsami has that story. >> reporter: the fbi is now working with north carolina authorities searching for this 3-year-old girl who disappeared from her bed early monday morning. >> i love her. i would do anything, just bring her home, please. safe and sound. she's my baby. she's my everything. >> reporter: the mother of 3-year-old mariah boyfriend last saw her daughter around midnight in their mobile home when the girl woke up and he told her to go back to sleep. when the child's grandmother went to wake her up in the morning at 6:45 she was nowhere to be found. the search has centered around their home and the nearby woods. helicopters, sheriff's deputies and firefighters have joined in the search. the state is running an amber alert this morning. the girl's mother is praying that whoever may have taken her little girl will bring her back safely. >> just to be able to touch her and hold her, not let her go again, i'd give anything. >> reporter: authorities are now asking families in the area to search their yards and their sheds. part of the search area is on camp lejeune a

underway for three inmates who escaped from jail one facing homicide charges and now on the abc's steve osunsami lafayette, tennessee, where the town is on edge. good morning, steve. >> reporter: good morning to you, robin. this is a rural area and people who live here believe that the three men who escaped from this county jail behind me are probably hiding in the woods. authorities have canine units, u.s. marshals even helicopters in the air searching for them. they believe that they could be anywhere in this area but tell us that they made their escape by pulling a speaker out of a wall and then crawling through that wall and then running out of the back of the jail. two of the men are in for theft and drug charges, but one of them, 20-year-old dylan ferguson, the youngest considered the most dangerous. he is accused of murder and was put on the state's most wanted list. one thing authorities point out is that the largest of these guys, six feet tall, 160 pounds, small enough to fit through a speaker hole. we keep hearing so much about these jail breaks. >> pulling a speaker out, wow. >>> a n

abc's steve osunsami has the latest. >> reporter: take a look.se are the security camera images this morning that the fbi and local authorities are sharing concerned that the girl in the photo might just might be 3-year-old mariah woods. police are asking for help from anyone who can identify the woman carrying this child. they were spotted at a walmart in morehead city, north carolina, at 9:30 a.m. monday morning. three hours after the girl disappeared. >> priority number one is to find mariah. >> our focus right now is to find her, to bring her back and then to find out what happened. >> reporter: with helicopters in the air and volunteers on foot, investigators are looking for any trace of the young girl last seen sunday night. the fbi is sharing this missing poster asking anyone who has been in contact with the family since sunday to come forward. >> i believe the police want to make sure that their story fits as they're putting the puzzle together and connecting the dots. >> reporter: the girl's mother said she said goodnight to her daughter
