((steve sebelius)) iowa voters are caucusing as we speak; they our time. but so far, indications are that it's going to be a big night. cnn and other media are reporting heavy turnout for the first-in-the- nation caucuses. that's got to be good news for cnn is reporting that many caucus-goers have changed their voter registration in order to vote for trump. the network is estimating that 43 percent of g-o-p participatants today are first-timers. for democrats, 41 percent of participants are first-timers, a statistic that is thought to benefit vermont senator bernie sanders. the recent record for turnout in the iowa caucus is 2008, when nearly 40 percent of democrats turned out for then-unknown illinois senator barack obama. since 1972, the iowa caucus has a 43 percent success rate at picking the eventual nomniee on the democratic side. the winner of every iowa caucus since 1996 went on to capture the party's nomination. on the republican side, the caucus has a 50 percent chance ((stev
