(stevetate senate bill that aimed to increase housing near public transit throughout the state will not move forward this year. sb-827 failed to get out of the senate's transportation and housing committee. six senators voted against it, four voted in favor and three abstained. supporters say the bill would reduce regulations, strengthen housing laws, boost construction and increase housing supply. opponents said it would take away power from local jurisdicition communities. let's take a look outside right now... chief meteorologist chief meteorologist lawrence karnow joins us now with the four zone forecast. lawrence karnow: we enjoyed partly cloudy skies and cool temperatures today. highs were in the 50s and 60s. it is quiet on the doppler radar right now but that may change as another storm system approaches the coast. on the satellite image you can see a rather small low pressure system headed our way. we will see increasing clouds tonight with a chance of showers mainly near the coast.
