steve jobs will be attending the macworld today. it ashton kutcher will play the title role in the film along the with actor who will play wozniak willt the moscone center in san francisco. facebook beat wall street expectations with the latest quarterly numbers. here to chat about that and all things business kcbs radio's financial reporter jason brooks on a thursday. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. facebook saw its profit drop quite a bit in the 4th quarter from a year earlier but that still is above what analysts were expecting. its revenue was up 40% to $1.6 billion. key for facebook is making money off of its mobile users. it saw a big increase in the number of people who solely accessed the site from their smartphones or tablets. and it did see a pretty healthy increase in mobile ad revenue which made up 23% of total revenue in the 4th quarter compared to 14% in the previous quarter. it did see expenses rise quite a bit and hit with a number of analysts downgrades. as a result, facebook stock is falling. >>> jobless claims jumped last week by 38,000 to 368,000. that's largely reflection of retailers letting go of tempo
