it happened on stevens creek boulevard last night. ktvu's kraig debro live to tell us there are many unanswered questions about this. reporter: good morning, dave. we're at stern and stevens creek boulevard, right next to 280. the scene here is still ongoing, crime scene here. it's been about eight hours since this all happened. according to a news release, released by santa clara county this morning, a deputy was driving down the street, spotted a person walking. the deputy believed that person may have been involved in a reported stolen vehicle. he made contact with that person and then shots were fired according to the news release and the suspect, at least the person deputies stopped has non-life- threatening injuries. we're not sure if he has been arrested, in custody. we still have to talk to deputies about that. even though this is cuppertino, since they don't have their own police force, santa clara county patrols this part of the county, so that's why you have sheriff's deputies out here. earlier a spokesperson told us on cam

steven, i appreciate you joining us.m your perspective, what are you most concerned about as you see this storm approach? >> well, what is clearly the scenario we saw laid out, if this is a direct hit on new york city, or even if it goes a little bit to the east and hits the long island sound, and you push a lot of water up on areas, a few years ago when they had a severe storm back in the '30s, most people weren't living in some of these places. but now we have a lot of population density, and we have a more aged infrastructure. some of the stories we've been talking about, around -- the systems are breaking down. >> put the red one back in, please. >> the systems are breaking down. so the stress means we're going to have disruption. and what clearly will happen here, is we all need to be better prepared. there's so much professionals can do. there's world class professional emergency managers in the new york city, connecticut, and long island area. this is an all-hands evolution to get a major storm like in. >> we're t
