my name is steven nutsell, i am seeking reappointment to this commission. i currently was just recently reelected to my second consecutive term as president of the commission. previous to that i served for two year as secretary to the commission and have been very its proceedings and initiated quite a few of the resolutions and issues that we have worked on over the past several years. the most recent work has been available in our annual reports. we just published the or sent to the government of san francisco as we are mandated our annual report for 2014, which lists many of the things that we worked on, hopefully some nice accomplishments during that time. i am currently moving forward with an agenda supported by all of the commissioners, including important issues that we have on-going and future issues of importance to veterans in the city. one of the main ones that we are working on and have been in close lock step with the american legion war memorial commission on is the, to ensure that when the war memorial veterans building reopens later this year

steven nutsell, mr. baldanado as well. in terms of seat 7, i was actually -- there were a few people who were qualifid for that so i would say i would love to see mr. kefrpb -- kevin miller serve in that role. i think what he does at swords to plowshares and what he would bring to that role i would love to see on that board. in terms of seat 1 i would like to give my endorsement to mr. brendan rogers, not only in terms of his work at the library, which is really creative when you think about it, it is a place that people enter especially if they are homeless. i am grateful that you took on a leadership role to start a program there, as well as again the representation from the coast guard. in terms of seat 4, very torn about that but i'll wait to hear from supervisor cohen but i think that the representation from whether it's the women or lgbt community is really important so i would be happy to support miss vargas. mr. pandy i thought brought great insight and also i was impressed by mr. joinder's interest because i think

the commission and all of those commissioners currently sitting, in particular john caldera, steven nutsell and mr. baldenaro in my personal experience since i have known mr. caldera a short period of time, i have nothing to say that is as negative as what i've already heard. i have found him to be insightful and a person who finds he is welcoming and not instigating the commissioners said in some of the words here, i don't think i would have progressed so far because i'm currently sitting on the commission, was appointed last year, if it had not been from john calder a and also steven. the two, as i watched them work on the commission, still work with a synergy that has moved us forward in directions i didn't anticipate before. i applaud both of them before. in addition steven is a great writer. both he and john caldera created the resolution we hope to be before you shortly on port chicago 50. also miss dixon one thing i understand about supervisor cohen's comments on inclusiveness, i think it's former justice john paul stevens who would also look to joe marshal for his lived experience.
